“They will never accept grace, until they tremble before a just and holy Law.”
—Charles Spurgeon God gave us the Law – 10 Commandments – not to condemn us, but to enable our finite little human minds to GRASP the MONUMENTAL GAP between our sinful nature and His perfect Holiness; that we might be convinced we deserve the punishment of eternal damnation, and grasp for the only exception in the universe, which He gave because He loves us – the cleansing blood of Jesus. This free gift we cannot earn and do not deserve (grace), but with conviction of the law(faith), we are grateful, joyful, forever more we hunger and thirst to please the One Who loves us so!

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;

by Frances J. Crosby, 1873, Public Doman (hear version by Avalon – great!)
